Individual consumers are not the only victims of consumer fraud as many types of businesses are also targets for a variety of illegal schemes. No matter what type of consumer fraud it is, the best defense against scams is to follow these basic rules:- Understand each and every type of offer. Make sure to get all the details and promises in writing.
-Only do business with companies you know and trust. If you don't know them, be sure to do as much background reach on them as you can.
-Check all invoices for errors and mistakes carefully. It is difficult to get your money back once you've paid it to a con artist.
