YOUR SUCCESS GUIDELINES
Some of you are probably thinking it's a littlelate to be thinking about success. Spunky Old
Broad's never think it's too late. In fact, they'
re always mixing it up a little bit so no one
takes them for granted.
It is finally your turn to decide how you want
your life to be. Whether you are married,
widowed, divorced or always been on your own, by
this point, you have fulfilled what others always
wanted you to do. Now it's your time to turn up
the heat and make it happen for you.
Could this be when you learn to paint, or do you
prefer going to Italy for the summer and renting
a villa' Do you want to take on a part-time job
that takes advantage of a little used skill or do
you want to learn to water-ski' Whatever it is-
this is your time to do it.
Many people who look forward to retirement or
even the empty nest syndrome, suddenly find
themselves in high demand as a volunteer, baby-
sitter, errand runner and even a phone buddy.
While I don't want anyone not doing those things,
they need to be your choices and not someone else'
s. Don't give in to people who push you around.
I am so excited to see people who have taken a
good long look at their current lives and say "I
want to change this" and then go ahead and do it.
There is no magic path-it's your map. You can
go, be and do whatever you want! There's no
holding you back. You know that commercial that
admonishes "Just do it'" Well, I agree, just
start.
Decide what you want to work on first and then
begin. Your dream will become reality when you
start focusing on your complete plan-your
financial, family, career, spiritual, educational,
civic/community, health and leisure goals. Put
anything on that list that makes sense to you.
Dream the ultimate. Whatever it is you want,
picture it and think about it day and night. Put
it into your thoughts, desires and the way you do
things. Shape your events and friends so they
fit nicely into the "new you."
Make others aware of your intentions by posting
pictures of what you want and telling them how
you feel as you accomplish each. What is so
exciting is that you life is your design and
vision-no one else's.
Create one that works for you in the way you want
it to.
