My American Jihad
Bismi'llahIn the name of God, the Benificent, the Merciful...
My American Jihad
By: Andrew Tess
Dear friends, or anyone who will read this,
In the depths of infinitely valuable contemplation I have realized the futility of the information obsession which we prescribe to by choice, otherwise known as the internet. So many keystrokes befall the path to total digitization, and to knowingly succumb to this mind-numbing existence is utterly pathetic. This is not meant to be in any sense a personal affront to anyone in particular, just the omissions of a fellow human.
Too often we are appeased by tasks so simply detached from the efforts of reality. We are continuously being tricked into not-living. The constant media bombardment coupled with the ever increasingly addictive and invasive forms of technology that pervade our society are slowly eroding away what the essence of having a soul means. Well, at least what it means to be human, to not be endlessly driven by primordial urges and instincts as animals are....wait, or is that the essence of being human' To submit whole-heartedly to a life devoid of intrinsic value and be content with that existence' ...''... Huh....
Anyways, I have hereby bestowed upon myself the task of living, uninhibited by designated borders, guidelines, rules or institutions. I am in an ongoing process of creating a list of all the things I'd like to do before I die; one of them being to stand on the precipice of an active volcano.
Now, I have made a substantial effort up until recent days to post and publish films, articles and links to works I deem informative and necessary to the American public and my peers in particular, in order to counteract the horrendous monopoly on ideas that permeates our media networks. This monopoly constitutes an active manipulation of public opinion.
At 21 years of age, with no criminal record, physical or mental illnesses, phobias, children, parents, or legal obligations I denounce any of my prior inhibitions in regards to my pursuit of happiness within the established jurisprudence in all aspects of life. Basically, I’m reaffirming my belief in standing for justice no matter the consequences to be faced.
On this morning I am encumbered by the collective guilt for which our nation should feel, but sadly does not. Laden with the shame of my own support for a system that has subverted the very essence of what it means to be American, individual liberty.
Is it not ironic that an ideology which is mutually exclusive to the ideology of individual rights has so firmly imbedded itself in none other than our very own foreign policy'
Reflect upon this with nothing but intense sincerity, as I feel it is the fundamental misunderstanding and subsequent misconceptions that arise that have given rise to American Imperialism.
Democracy, or rule by the majority, is a system abhorred by the founding fathers of this great nation. That is why the constitution that was established as the blueprint for all government action to follow, was designed as a Free Market Republic. Think about it, democracy allows for 51% of the population to rule over the 49% minority. The republic ideology for which America was based on believes in the idea that no entity, public or private has the right to impede individuals’ inalienable rights. So, as I pointed out before, it is ironic that American interests have become the driving force in areas of the world where the mass population has been struggling for fervent representation. I would dare compare the current indigenous resistance fighters in South America and the Middle East to the indigenous natives of North America. Fighting to "liberate" their families, neighbors, and communities against tyrannous leaders among them who would whore out their own countries to foreign corporate interests. Or maybe even to the rightfully treasonous acts of our founding fathers themselves...
I may not know much, for true knowledge resides with the Creator of the Universe, but I do know when I see hypocrisy. Coming from a mixed background of rural-Euro Christian and black urban roots, I guess I was predisposed to being watchful of the all Seeing Eye that is the government. It seems many in America today have forgotten about history’s tried and true lessons about governments and I would go so far as to say have lost almost all sense of healthy solution-driven self-criticism when it comes to the nation as a whole. As if this sense of self-fulfilling solidarity were tradition, Americans now seem to hold indignation for those with less than flattering words for her. A powerful statement considering that the majority of the world now sees America as a part of the 'global problem' and less and less a part of the solution. I'm happy to say that many other nations' populations do not subscribe to the Amerocentric view of history and view many of the United States foreign expeditions as they are, whimsically based imperial experiments.
While all this is massively depressing in the grand scheme of things, it is much less disheartening to me than the American public's active and proud complicity
in the establishment of the current course of action. That it has, against its own non-elitist educated masses, ignorantly followed the path of so many societies before, like that of Byzantine Rome, a society who became so preoccupied with bread, wine, and Colosseum entertainment that it let its representatives rape them of the little rights they had.
By studying humanity, you will see that the preponderance of guilt which manifests itself most visibly and evidently within the court system though permeates all levels of society, is one of the defining characteristics of a society in decline. You will also see that with all wars since the beginning of the 20th century, it is predominantly the fear and perception of an external threat that begets wars rather than a documented or actual threat disclosed by actions of a particular external entity. This fear/perception based war paradigm has been given an exponentially deadly boost by advancements in telecommunications. I say deadly boost only because the current media monopolies enthralling the world do not allow for truly intuitive solution-based dialogue, only stories for which to perpetuate ideas and generate more ratings. Dually important, as one's extension only solidifies a consensus among the viewer ship because they usually only give varying points-of-view arguing the same perspective or restrict argument and dialogue to guidelines set by the show/broadcaster/network.
By studying the historical roots and figures of the bipartisan system of the American congress it is easy to see that the system has been subverted. That no matter what party you generally affiliate yourself with, most representatives within that party are irreversibly stuck in the pockets of their corporate sponsors and lobby groups, who in turn are run by the same elite class of people. And should you find a representative that does share a traditionally liberal or traditionally conservative view, they are usually hopelessly marginalized in the House and Senate, useless.
To me, in 2007, now more than ever I see the need to take serious the threat the Federal Reserve will have on America. That it is the sole catalyst for the past 100 years of grievously misled US policies. That this institution is the gangrenous sore that need be cut from the side of our governmental body in order to save it. That there is no actual law or statute in place that obligates American citizens to pay the income tax as delineated by the illegal institution set up for the extortion of 1/3 of America's income, otherwise known as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) The simple fact that most Americans do not know that the Federal Reserve Bank is not part of the United States government. It will be found in the private section of any phone book, not public. That it controls interests rates and inflation and is a private bank. That its unilateral power to control the American economy betrays the free market atmosphere that we so vehemently defend as capitalism. That the elite banking class have engineered the three depressions of the 20th century and have already affectively past legislation to subvert the United States Government through the Security and Prosperity Partnership Act, also known as the American Union.
There are many reasons for which I initially found Islam attractive, though unaffiliated. One major one was the defense and maintenance of individual rights. As an American I felt a deep kinship and pride towards this idea.
I once heard someone say that without America, there is no Islam...For it exemplifies the conditions easiest in today’s world to practice it. And that really made me think...especially about western society's tendency to vilify Islam and Muslims in general.
Through educating myself, reading and my conversion to Islam I have formed my identity. With that same deep kinship for my individual rights, I am proud to be an American Muslim. Because of what America has traditionally stood for and was founded upon I can be proud. Proud to know that the will of the people can overcome through unity and bring about the changes needed to set aright the policies, foreign and domestic, that will keep America from its current imminent decline. Proud to know that it is the will of the American people to reform it and to fight against the inner tendencies of beings to destroy themselves from within. That we, along with the rest of the world are willing to stand up and recognize our destructive animalistic tendencies as well, that deep inner struggle, or jihad. So from this point forward I endeavor upon My American Jihad.
