Do You Really Want To Become A NJ Realtor'
Do you really want to become a NJ Realtor'Unless you have a great listing system, great training and the desire to win you will not be successful in becoming a Professional Real Estate salesperson.
You will have only made the various licensing agencies, printing firms, advertisers and insurance companies money to stay afloat in this ever increasing dog-eat-dog business world.
Depending on what MLS Systems you belong to. realtor, state, insurance and electronic key fees could be a much as $1,000 dollars your first year.
So you’ve paid your fees and dues. Welcome to the World of Real Estate! Some companies have a buddy system where they team you up with an experienced salesperson to show you how to do basic real estate and help you with listing presentations. There is usually a cost involved which can be negotiated between the parties involved.
Do you have desk' When I started there were 120 agents in my office and you had to share a desk if you found someone that would share. Was it a strange place to be in' Of course, like starting school all over again, making new friends; trying to fit in. However, this wasn’t school and the people were all grown up and very intent on making money.
The owners don’t mind if they get 500 agents in an office as the majority of the agents will be part time agents and whatever leads they bring to the office would be consumed by the system. There really isn’t any expense for the owners to carry large amounts of salespersons as agents work on commission only. Bottom line if you don’t sell, you don’t earn a living.
Considering the anatomy of a close, it’s amazing the amount of people still willing to venture into this profession. (A 'quick' anatomy of a close would be: find a client, find a home, find funding, complete inspections, receive commitment and finally attend the closing some 45-60 days later [although closings could be any length time frame] right now I’m still waiting for a commercial deal to get a commitment after waiting for over a year).
I know in this case the buyer really didn’t have the best credit so we were using credit rebuilding services to help repair her credit. That’s just one example.
At anytime along this time frame the transaction could fall apart. Even at the closing table it could still fall apart. Has this happened to me' You bet.
As Realtors we are at the mercy of our colleagues in the related professions (i.e., Attorneys Mortgage Brokers, Banks, Various Inspectors and Appraisers).
We find the buyer or the buyer finds us. We then find the home after much searching and negotiating. It’s a tough business but if your in NJ and you want a start in Northern New Jersey then drop us a line at www.24seven-realtor.com .
However the rewards are great and the realtionships you build with your clients over the years is a blessing.
There's nothing like the feeling of helping someone purchase their dream home.
