Mobile Phones In 10 Years Time
If I had a crystal ball maybe we could see where the mobile phone industry will be in 10 years, but alas I don’t so let have a little guess and fun to see what technological features we can look forward to.1. Free Mobiles
Will we see free mobile from the networks this is a good question, you’re phone could be branded with an advertisers cover and screen saver could be advertisements from various sources that play when you not on a call. All text messages you send or receive will have an advertisement at the bottom, hopefully this won’t happen but the ring tone could be a company jingle. This idea maybe all in my head but one or two could happen
2. The Internet
I guess we already have full HTML browsers in some high end phones, the Nokia N-series and E-series for example but this will begin to rollout to all phones in the next 10 years even the most basic. Speed can be an issue at the moment accessing some sites but in 2017 this wont be an issue.
3. Location
Been able to track somebody can be done at the moment with some phones as they have integrated GPS chips. Over the years this will be available on all phones so if for example in an emergency you can be tracked but there will be fun stuff like been able to receive local information at the touch of a button sure as restaurants, bars, shopping etc.
4. TV
Already been tested in parts of Europe but I expect this to explode over the years, IMS Research predicts that in 2011 there will be 30 million mobile TV subscribers in the US alone and 70 million world wide. All the major brands in Mobile are testing this technology at present so expect to hear more on this in the future.
5. Scanner and Shopping
When you go shopping you’ll be able to use you’re phone to scan you shopping then pay using you phone and have no need to carry cash. Ok maybe a little far fetched but at the time of writing this article the Nokia N95 has scanning software built-in.
6. Get the Picture
Over the past ten years we’ve seen the emergence of the camera phone, they reckon by 2010 more then 1 billion mobile phones will have cameras. But, what’s the next step' If you really think about it screens on phones will only go so far the next step must be a built-in projector that you can look at photos and movies from in big picture format.
