Immature Act
On Wednesday (August the first, 2007) my family and I visited our relatives. We took a bus when we were coming back home. Some people in the bus were talking, others were just glancing at the window. Suddenly, the ticket collectors came to check the tickets. One of them found that a boy didn’t buy the ticket. He took him from his clothes and the boy’s friends wanted to defend their friend. They took stones from the street and luckily there was a policeman who made them run away. The policeman, the two ticket collectors, the driver, and people from the street tried to calm down the boys. After the fight is over, the bus start moving and people in the bus were starting to feel more secure. Suddenly, we were surprised with a big stone that broke the window and came into the bus. The stone hit a man in his hand and the glass came into a boy’s eye. The boy lost his eye, it was full of blood and he saw nothing with it. Everybody in the bus was scared. My family and I got out the bus and let the boy still in. I don’t know what happen in people minds to do this, especially that this is not the first time that this kind of behaviour has happened here, in Casablanca. Many busses have been hit by stones and people are in. Most people are scared to take the bus now because they don’t feel secure in it. The problem is that it’s the only means of transport that is cheap and more available in Casablanca. There must be a solution to stop this kind of behaviour. I don’t know what it is, but Casablanca is a big city, it is the economic capital of Morocco, and it is a shame to have this kind of behaviour in it.
